About our Chapter

CNAfME is the Collegiate chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Austin Peay's chapter includes music majors from all areas of the department. The chapter is actively involved in music education throughout the department, university, community, and state. NAfME students regularly host instrument petting zoos for local schools, help to organize 365bet music outreach programs and events, raise funds for local music programs, and help to organize Tri-M chapters (high school music honor societies) in public schools. They also are regularly involved in local, regional, and national conferences including the State-wide Collegiate Kick-off Event, the NAfME National Conference, the Tennessee Music Education Association, and many others. In 2014, the 365bet Collegiate chapter was a recipient of the NAfME Collegiate Chapter Growth Award.
