There are three components to schedule: the hearing, the dress rehearsal and the recital 本身. You will schedule all components 你的独奏会 on the 要求背诵表格. An email announcement is sent to applied faculty when the office is ready to begin scheduling student 演出 for the upcoming semester. Discuss available 日期s for your recital, hearing, and rehearsal with your applied faculty and collaborative pianist before you attempt to reserve 日期s. 一旦你 confirmed 日期s with your applied faculty and collaborative pianist, reserve your preferred 日期s through the music office by emailing a completed 要求背诵表格 对music@阿卜苏.edu. 不完整的文件不予接受. 签名将被收集 electronically by the office, and the student will receive a completed copy of the form via email as confirmation that all 日期s have been reserved.

You must pass a recital hearing a minimum of two weeks prior to your selected recital 日期. Recital hearings usually occur at 12:45 on Tuesdays and Thursdays in MMC 130, 147, or 152. The Mabry Concert Hall is available for hearings for graduate students 只有钢琴专业的学生. You must also select a hearing committee in consultation with 你的申请导师. Your committee must include your primary instructor and a minimum of two additional faculty, ideally from a similar area (winds, percussion, 的声音,等…).

You may receive corrections on your program at the recital hearing. 纠正所有错误 and submit the final program to 你的申请导师 who will make any additional 编辑.

The Music Office will finalize the draft and send to 你的申请导师 for final 批准. The music office will then print your programs for you and place them in the Mabry Hall sound booth or in your instructor's mail box.

Each student is allotted one (1) two-hour time slot for a dress rehearsal in the location 你的独奏会. If you miss without prior notification, you may not be able to reschedule.

答:没有. If you submit your program template by the required deadline, the department prints approximately 20 programs and uploads a digital copy. 你有责任 additional programs if you anticipate a larger audience.

Q: Am I required to perform in the Mabry Concert Hall?

Q: What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my recital?
A: If you must reschedule or cancel your recital, contact the music office to release 你的独奏会日期. You may be required to find a different venue if you need to cancel 或者重新安排你的独奏会.
